The moment EBC took out the 2011 ‘King of the Beach’ title! captured by Greg McCarthy.

With Club President Paul ‘Chook’ Holbrook embracing Wylie Fowler and Glenn Pringle with arms in the air, EBC took their first ‘King of the Beach’ for quite a few years. Wylie and Pring’ were the experience in the A-team partnered by young guns Joel Etherington, Joey Sear and Connor O’leary, along with round 1 reserves Jake Stalker and Akemi Oleary. The B-team which helped to qualify included Nathan Rohr, Joe Wallace, Shane Campbell, Luke Sullivan & Chook.

Everyone absolutley ripped and did their jobs to perfection! A fantastic team effort to fend of a champion squad from Cronulla Sharks Board riders who have dominated this event over the years. A massive thanks from all the surfers to the huge support and cheer squad (led by Muffin), EBC truly is a great group with a strong family core.

The perfect way to end another awesome year at EBC! Congratulations everyone! See you at the presso Sat 10th Dec.

BOARDJAM:2011 …the final chapter

November 22nd, 2011

Well thats all folks! Over the weekend in tiny little waves RBshapes BoardJam:2011 held its final event. Thanks to all those who came down over the last 6weeks to try some boards or just have a look or a chat. Congratulations to all those who scored themselves a pair of CARVE sunnies or a PEAK wetsuit just for coming along! And a HUGE thank you to those companies plus Futures Fins for helping out with the events!

We didn’t have the best waves this year at any of the events unfortunately, but that did give people a chance to try some grovel boards and those that made the most of it came away enlightened to the possibilities of a better planned and expertly advised custom quiver.

We had a great time at all the events this year, ‘the Jesus Pro-Am’, the ‘Dominelli Ford Womens Classic ‘and the ‘Tradies Surf Masters’. It was awesome to meet some wonderful people over the last 6 weeks and great to share some of our know-how and experience with people who may not otherwise have had a chance to catch up with us. We hope you had a great time too, and if you didn’t have a chance to get along to any of the events this year, don’t forget We’re always available for a chat and your always welcome to borrow any of our demo board absolutely FREE!

All our demo boards are for SALE so click HERE to check them out, they will be discounted form the marked prices between now and Xmas so get in fast!!!
